Channel wire lock is also known as wiggle wire or spring lock. It is a fastening system to keep your greenhouse plastic secured in place with a tight fit. Channel wire lock systems are efficient, inexpensive, and reusable.

Comes in packages of 10 piece (60ft of wire)

Galvanized steel wiggle wire is recommended for use on thicker 9 mil or 12 mil woven plastic. It is rougher on plastics than PVC-coated steel wiggle wire but works well with tougher plastics by provided greater strength and durability. For a thinner non-woven film like 6 mil, we recommend coated wiggle wire to minimize abrasion on your plastic. Thinner plastic also simply doesn't put as much pressure on your fastening system.

Quick and easy to install, wiggle wire goes on and comes off with less effort than other systems.

Advantages

  • Fits tightly to curved or straight bows
  • Can be regularly installed and removed
  • Pinch and bind resistant
  • Can be used to splice films
  • Can hold a variety of thicknesses
  • Is more gentle on plastic than other systems
  • Tends to hold up well in harsher weather conditions

Galvanized wiggle wire can be abrasive to thinner plastics like 5 mil if the plastic is frequently taken off and put back on. That said, with care, this may not be a problem. To play it safe purchase coated wiggle wire for thinner plastics. *Use Coated wiggle wire (A9970192-10x) for 5 or 6 mil plastic coverings.* *Use Galvanized wiggle wire (A9970194-10x) for 9-12 mil plastic coverings.*
